Museum Employment: Sponsorship Coordinator

The Morris Museum of Art seeks a Sponsorship Coordinator.

Responsible for securing funding and in-kind support for public programs, including exhibitions, through business, corporate, media, production, and hospitality partnerships.  This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, ability to self-manage, and to work well within a small team.

We are seeking an individual with established connections and ongoing relationships with corporations, businesses, organizations, and community leaders. Familiarity with Donor Perfect a must.  Sales skills and experience organizing events a plus.

Some evening and weekend duties as need dictates.

Reports to Director.  Relationships with director of marketing and public relations, special events manager, and membership services coordinator.  

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) identifying potential sponsors and cultivating relationships with them;  contacting and soliciting potential sponsor; coordination of their participation in sponsored events; managing and sustaining relationships with sponsors; providing (in coordination with director of marketing and public relations) advertising and promotional opportunities; overseeing cultivation events; developing and executing sponsor maintenance plan; overseeing sponsor perks, performers’ riders, and working each of the museum’s “Southern Soul and Song” concerts.

Salary commensurate with experience.
