Event Coordinator Lauren Land’s choice for Morris Staff Pick Monday: Hattie Saussy’s Portrait-Girl in Red.

“I have always loved Saussy’s portrayal of this young girl in red, mostly because I can relate to her sullen disposition. Actually, I think we can all relate to being dragged to a fancy party or wedding as a youngster and annoyed by every great aunt pinching our cheeks. The aftermath of her disdain—her sulky expression—is teenage angst at it’s best.”⠀
