These photographs are drawn from White’s ongoing portrait series of painters, sculptors, muralists, and other artists who live and work in the Central Savannah River Area and shape the region’s cultural landscape. Working principally in abstraction, still life, and portraiture, White has spent his professional life—a career of forty-plus years—mainly on the West Coast, concentrating on telling stories as a photographer and as a creative director for advertising agencies until 2018, when he was able to return full-time to his first passion—making pictures.
