The Fifteenth Annual Morris Gala

The Fifteenth Annual Morris Museum of Art Gala, honoring internationally renowned realist painter John Baeder, was held Friday, March 7, 200.

A cocktail reception in the museum galleries, provided attendees an opportunity to view Pleasant Journeys and Good Eats along the Way: A Retrospective Exhibition of Paintings by John Baeder before it left Augusta for a three-city tour. Also on view that evening was an exhibition highlighting some of the art acquired by the museum through the gala over its fifteen-year history.

Upscale diner-style fare served from multiple food stations, dancing to the Del Baroni Orchestra, and a silent auction highlighted the rest of the evening's festivities under the gala tent.

Proceeds from the gala benefit the museum's endowment and help to support the rich array of public programs that the museum provides throughout the CSRA.
